THE IN VITRO ANTIFUNGAL AND SYNERGISTIC ACTIVITY OF SELECTED PLANT EXTRACTS AND ESSENTIAL OILS AGAINST CANDIDA SPP.

This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity and potential synergistic of ten plant extracts (EXs) essential oils (EOs) obtained from same species, namely Agrimonia eupatoria L., Arctium lappa Arnica montana Bidens cernua Corylus avellana Echinacea purpurea L. (Moench), Menta piperita Trifolium pratense Syzygium aromaticum Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels were used. Three species genus Candida, C. albicans, glabrata, tropicalis, isolated polluted estuarine water, used in this study. The chemical composition all EOs was evaluated by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC–MS) flame ionization detector (GC–FID) analysis.
